Some programs may be intensive, lasting a few weeks, while others may be part-time over several months. Additionally, ongoing professional development is often recommended to keep SOC analysts updated on the latest threats and technologies. Incident Detection and Response:Investigate and respond to security incidents, including data breaches, malware infections, and other cyber threats. Industry-recognized certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), may also be part of the training or pursued separately. Threat Intelligence Analysis:Stay informed about current cyber threats and trends. Forensic Analysis:Perform forensic analysis on security incidents to understand the scope, impact, and root causes. Make recommendations for improvements based on audit findings. Document findings for future reference and improvement.
