AutoCAD was first introduced in the month of December in 1982 as a desktop app running on microcomputers with internal graphics controllers. It is developed and marketed by Autodesk. It helps in assessing the cost of various products which aids in managing various activities. It has a user- friendly interface and saves time, which are great advantages to designers. It is also used for tracking the number of orders completed in a required time span. But now it can be used for various purposes. In electrical engineering, it is used to map out electrical systems, and in civil engineering, it is used to design bridges and roads. In mechanical engineering, it is used to create manufacturing processes as well as to design motor parts, robots and other innovative objects. AutoCAD also allows modifications in the project already saved which definitely help the users. It was supported by 750 training centers worldwide in the year 1994.
